Everyday Inspiration

“Obedience is something you do; having a heart to obey is something you pray about” – Stormi Omartian

Proverbs 3:1-2 says, “My son [daughter], do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.”

Obedience does indeed require submission, people! Whoa, not an easy pill to swallow, huh? I, too struggle much in this area, especially in times of intense situations. Yet, I tell you it can be achieved. Think of all the stress we endure when things simply don’t go our way. How easily flustered we can get? There is an answer, seek out the Lords Word. Allow the Holy Spirit to fill the room, ask for it to open your heart and mind to receive the word and take action.

It takes small steps, you can’t read the bible in one day. Ask the Holy Spirit to help direct eyes to the scriptures you need to read. Meditate on the scriptures about obedience and how it can affect your life.

Praying_Emoji_grandeLord open my eyes, ears, and heart to receive the word. Not just to glance over the words once and never let it impact my life. I pray I can hear your voice, guiding me to the words. Engulf us in your word, allow it to pour into the spirit and abandon the physical temple. In His Glorious Name!

Amen!

Feed the spirit with the Word, it is the medicine you need to continue the rest of the week!
