Celebration of Freedom 🎊

4th of July

Hi everyone,

Happy 4th of July! Let’s remember the history of why we celebrate today. No it’s not for the cool t-shirts, barbecues, beaches, fireworks or even the parties. On July 4th 1776, we signed the Declaration of Independence for our freedom from Britian. However, history would also say the battle continued until 1783, were Britain finally recognize to accept the United States of America.

Oh, how our country endured its share of battles and still manages to continue. Although were faced with its challenges now and some very painful to witness. Jesus, too had his share of opposition. He bore the sins of the world, even when persecuted against. But Jesus kept his eyes on the promise of God. He carried the cross to Calvary and endure death by the flesh. We know this act of love for God, is what gave the world hope and redemption. We, too declared our freedom on the day Jesus died.

I say, this too remind us, we face battles on all scales. But we have never been alone in these times of war. We have the weapons, choose to use them. Gain back the freedom, the enemy keeps us from claiming. Declare each day:

I know who I am, a child of the Most High God, I’ve got a hedge of protection surrounding me. I know when I call on the name of the Lord all the forces of Heaven are backing me up. -Joel Osteen

Proclaim the armor of God! Claim your freedom!

Romans 6:18 says, “You have been set free from sin…”
