I don’t plan to do an entire month of blogmas. Honestly, I can’t write that much. LOL! But I had to share this one, because I’m such a movie fanatic.
I love this time of the year, food, holiday music blasting, decorating the tree, wrapping presents, laughing, playing games, and spending time with love ones. The best part is binge watching holiday movies leading up to Christmas. These are the current ones on my list. Some may not fit the Christmas theme, action films thrown are a must.
Santa Claus is Comin’ to town (1970s): All of these are great classic films. Whenever I watch them I’m reminded of my childhood; playing in the snow, decorating the tree, presents, hot cocoa, chocolate chip cookies, and no school for a week (YAY!). I love this time of the year and the fond memories. I’m sure many of you know these classics very well.
Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer (1964):
Frosty the Snowman (1969)
Charlie Brown Christmas (1965): OMGosh, this is a must on everyone’s movie list. Don’t ever skip on this movie, EVER! Charlie brown reflects a time in history before social media, including discussing serious topics. It’s heartfelt and the best setting for snuggling under the blanket. I love the entire gang. Snoopy is creative in his imagination. Charlie Brown always bring the meaning of Christmas to warm our hearts. Love the entire gang, the music score is amazing.
Sound of Music (1965): Julie Andrews is still the best singer of all times. This movie is my number one favorite film. It was the reason I joined choir in High School. (Please don’t ask me to sing, that’s only done in front of my mirror or shower. I’m not singing live). Great for not only the Holidays, but all year round. This is just one of many wonderful scenes from the film. Julie Andrews has a voice of an angel, has an incredible range. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend watching it, like RIGHT NOW!!
White Christmas (1954): I love the music, dancing, and outfits (where can I find these Christmas ballgowns? They are so gorgeous)! Hollywood films are timeless and captivating. It had all the best elements of a movie; comedy, romance, and a meaningful message about Christmas. I adore this film so much. Every year, I’d find myself watching it almost everyday. This year, I decided to give Speed my attention (Keanu Reeves is a heartthrob)
Home alone 1&2: Nothing beats sharing the Christmas spirit, while watching Kevin get into mischievous things. Kevin had a blast being on his own (a wish that came true), was interesting. It’s a hilarious movie, about a smart kid who everyone blames for ruining Christmas but ends up saving it. Within the chaos Kevin was able to bring harmony to the family and light of hope to others. This scene is just one of many hilarious parts of the film. These movies are still famous. It never gets old! (Home Alone 3 is not my favorite, it was rather boring).
The Holiday: I found this movie to be another favorite. Weirdly, at first I wasn’t into it. But its grown on me. Two women trade places to escape the heartbreak, but find love in unexpected ways. Cast are well-known actors. Jude Law is dreamy and his accent is the icing on the cake. Jack Black is still my favorite actor. His doesn’t fit one mold of acting, he’s the love interest in the film. He was the perfect guy. Of course its one of those romantic comedies, but I think any guy would appreciate it. Snuggle up close and enjoy!
Speed (1994): I still think Keanu Reeves is not only hot, but an incredible actor. He’s been around for many years and never disappoints. I’ve been playing this movie on repeat for weeks now, I’m obsessed! I don’t watch a lot of television, so thanks to google play I can watch it as many times as I want. I love watching this classic action, the simplicity of the storyline is mesmerizing, I’m hooked! The chemistry between Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves is so adorable. I wish they would team up again for another action film, they would be awesome together.
Die Hard: You’d have to be living under a rock if you haven’t seen any of these films. Bruce Willis is the only one to complete these Die Hard films. No one can fill his shoes. As a detective he gets the job done at all cost, even his own life. But does make it look good with his quick thinking and kicking the bad guys butt or blowing things up. LOL!
I’m sure I missed some…….
