2018: Godfidence
Every year, I try to think of a word, quote, or phrase I could use to define an entire year. It would serve as inspiration, encouragement, and confidence to believe anything is possible. Whatever we set our minds on, we believe it with all our heart, and we move in the direction of this truth. It would mean, I’d move towards achieving my goals. Not by my might, but the will of God.
However, I’ve asked God to reveal the word, quote, or phrase that would best serve His purpose for my life. Something that would always remind me of where I am headed. This was the word God gave me in 2018 above. I shake my head now, because it was a word I wasn’t fully prepared to step into. God took it very literal, but I can confidently say now, It was worth it all! I will carry over this word into the New Year with an added bonus.
Again, as we all do. We all want to shift into a new level. The same can be said across the board, a shift in finances, a new promotion or job, a shift to a new house, shift from single to married, restore marriages, rebuild families, and so much more. I’d like to say a shift is coming. I open the door to 2019 with this:
This is my phrase for 2019, with the support of Godfidence. I will indeed be moving towards a greater future. One, I’ve worked closely with God. It’s not over until God says it is. And if I have come into 2019, I come for a reason. I am ready to bare fruits from the labors I have endured. Oh, don’t get me wrong, there will be battles. The enemy doesn’t give up easily. This time I have The Father by my side. I will be tested to level up my faith muscles. I’m sure the enemy is working on strategies to put me back into the fire. But God, (as the bible mentions many times), But God, My Father has given me the weapons to have victory over the spiritual warfare. The fight isn’t over, this time I’m not going to run away. I want to face them, because God has the final outcome. He did it for Job, He will surely do it for me, and for you. God, takes His role as a Father very serious and personal. Believe it!
What is your one word, quote, or phrase to define 2019?
And why?

Godfidence! I love it! It is extremely fitting. God is boldness, God is confidence, the combination of the two is simply amazing. The scripture in Jeremiah is a nice reminder that God knows the plans He has for us. If He knows what He has for me is for my betterment, who am I to doubt?
