A Cloud over Age

What is this cloud that follows many women when they reach a certain age? Any women over 30 not married, no children, or no husband fall into a deep depression. Not having any of these things now, does not make me less of a person. Worst of all everyone suddenly wishes to voice their concerns. Who asked for your opinion?

Women are already struggling with other issues: low wages, sexism, and other anomalies in life. Yet, married folks and parents want to call singles, lonely. I don’t get it. Hate to break it to you, but you’re so wrong. And I’d like for you to stop. In fact, I’m very much not alone, but full of love, His love. Our relationship is unbreakable. Gods love is unconditional.

I don’t need to explain my status. What I will say, is we need to focus on raising kingdom men and women. Godly men and women. Our generation is lacking the true nature of Gods gift of marriage. Let’s figure out why divorce is rising, fatherless, motherless homes are “normal”. We need to get back to the nature of Gods love, because we rely to much on our flesh. Scrolling through pictures of naked photos, losing sight of substance. We’ve moved to become more absorbed in surface (appearance) instead of something deeper.

Some men believe we don’t want to be treated with respect. Some women don’t believe in treating men with respect. Here’s a clue, why not treat each other with compassion, kindness, respect, and love. Overall, we’ve got to do better as a human race. Foster a sense of identity, which can only be found in Christ.

I will not settle on any man, just so I can have a child and claim the title of “Wife”. I’m already carrying the title “Daughter of God”. A divine stamp on my soul. As a christian, I believe in Gods law about marriage. Boaz and Ruth, popular story, but God woven in some truth. I will not subject myself to another person, just to reach another level of status. I don’t need to go seek or swipe left or right. I’m not a casual hookup. I’m not desperate, and neither are you. You are enough. Being single, free, whole, and complete. Apart of Gods design. You were made in the image of God.

Love you, before you can love someone else.

So before, you start sharing your opinion over why I’m not married, save your cries for someone else. I will not let you ruin my self-esteem. I have a destiny to fulfill. Gods called me for greatness. The gift to cultivate!

  1. Most of the world problems stems from how we raise our children and what we instill in them. If they value being married with children and aren’t told to not look down on others who aren’t then that problem will continue to exist

  2. Your timing is your timing. I use to get flak because I didn’t have another kid. It seems that people didn’t care that I wasn’t married they just didn’t want Justin to be the only child. I ignored them and continued to do what’s right for me.
Go with the flow of what feels right for you. Everyone is in a rush to fit in that’s all and live according to society standards. Be the beautiful butterfly that you are and break out when you feel it’s time.

  3. This is something that annoys me a lot. People that are in relationships telling me and others that they should be in one are usually, in my experience, miserable as hell in their relationships. They have the kids, they have the husband, yet they are fixated on the life I am living. It’s not easy dating nowadays. You get tired of the men who want “mama’s” instead of a partner to share their lives with. You get tired of people who don’t want to put in the effort required to make a relationship work. Most people want EASY nowadays and some things in life don’t come easy. You’re right to not let others’ opinions of your life and relationship status get in the way of your focus, Tiffany. Good for you for standing up and speaking the truth.

    1. Yes, I agree. I’m over here like, “Who asked you?” Don’t take my status to mean I’m looking for pity. I’m good. 😆 sometimes people like to shift the focus off their own problems and project it on others. I’m like, nah sis, do you need to fix something in your life. 😆 don’t get me wrong, at times it does bother me, but I don’t stay there for long because God comforts me. I’m under His protection. When God is ready it’ll happen. Right now, I’m free girl! 😆 soaring high. While everyone else is complaining about the dishes not being done. 😆

      1. LOL! Your words could not be any truer! 😆 I take the alone time as time for me to work on myself and get to know who I am. That, to me, is a great gift that many don’t have and wish to have. No distractions. You’re more than welcome, my friend! Your posts are always heartfelt and make people see things in a different way and I love that!

I’m doing just awesome! No complaints! How have you been?

      1. My pleasure! When I turned 30 people started to give me a hard time telling me that I needed to get married soon and you better hurry. It used to bother me a lot at first but the Lord calmed me down through His word, like He was saying, just trust Me. That’s when I started with a little phrase, let go and let God. I have noticed quite a few people use that saying these days. Anyway, what people said didn’t bother me after that, even though I still got discouraged at times. Sorry for the long comment!😞. Have a great weekend!☺. Steve.

      2. No, I enjoyed reading your comment. I agree. People dump their concerns, “I didn’t ask for your weight. Thank you! Now take it back.” If they’re concern, then why not pray alongside me. 🙏🏼 to me that’s a good friend who turns concerns into a prayer. 3 or more gather, God is in the mist he bible says. Im praying with you, Steve. Thanks so much for your encouraging words. Have a great weekend! ☺️

      3. Why is everyone in a rush to marry, like being married is what you do right now? Folks do realize that marriage is sacred and it’s supposed to be for the rest of your life, so it’s not to be taken lightly. I’m 51 and I’m not married, but I’m blessed with a lovely daughter, and if or when it’s time … and it’s in Gods plan, then it will happen.

      4. Yes, everyone’s rushing to get married, but holding onto single status. Everyone in a rush to married to have a baby. Baby comes with responsibility. Not to be taken lightly.

    1. Thank you! Sometimes we need to be reminded that expectations put on each other will never be meant. Only I satisfy Gods expectations. And I do believe people think they are helping by getting involved, but stop throw me in the darkness. Singles don’t need to be depressed, ashamed, defeated, and lonely. That’s not what God wants for us. We have just as much value in Gods eyes as those who are married or in a relationship.
