Setting goals this year, came with setbacks, but stronger comebacks. I can say it has greatly change my perspective to reach success, at least come close to it as possible. I refuse to give up on myself. I learn confidence doesn’t always start with the way we feel, but being persistent over my fears engages my confidence. Sort of like when momentum builds up, the moment it’s release it can’t be stopped. I hope that makes sense, 😆.
What works best, at least for me, write out the goals, vision board or outline. Plus, it makes all of the hard work, sacrifice, and tears worth it when you know it’s for a purpose. Whatever you set your mind on, is where you will be headed. It feels damn good to check off each accomplishment (or blessing) achieved. A champion of self-motivation.
My goals for the month:
20 in 30 challenge
I’ve finally made the commitment to join a Yoga studio. Never thought I’d actually like yoga, I can’t even sit still sometimes. LOL! I met a great instructor (we’ll call her A) from the current gym I attend, but she decided to split her time at 2 location. I told her I’d follow her wherever she goes. Which is when I was also introduced to the owner of the studio. She has a fun and challenging class. Her humor makes the class move smoothly. Of course my end goal is to achieve flexibility but I enjoy the peaceful state of mind after each class. It seems as if my day flows smoothly. My mood, attitude, and momentum slows. Plus, the breathing exercises are work to calm anxiety and relieves tension. I find myself doing it at work and during my sleep. Many of us aren’t given our body the proper circulation it requires. We’re all so tense and wrapped up tight. I know Yoga is difficult to like, but its definitely worth giving it a try.
I’d like to take on this yoga challenge, complete 20 classes in 30 days. Even throughout Thanksgiving too. I plan to get as close to 25 classes. I’m quite curious to see the transformation at the end. I hope to achieve the wheel pose by the end of November. Hopefully, I don’t injury myself by turning into a pretzel. LOL!
Lead a bible group
I’ve been putting this one off for a while. Allowing my fears to stop me. I need to kick the bucket, (so to speak) and do it. It’s time I step into what God has actually called me to do. I always felt like I wasn’t capable. Letting doubts get the best of me. But God will be there to help me along the way. My purpose in this, is base on the conversations I’ve shared with many (believers and nonbelievers). I want to help men and women navigate through life. I remember something my pastor said, Bible means “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth”. I surely have seen the way Gods truth has impact my own life, and I would like to show others.
I find many are struggling with the idea of God and Jesus. Even more specific, I have compassion for many who are single. The world has got it all wrong and Anyway, let me not go off into a tangent. I want to encourage, motivate, and pour into others. Everyone is apart of Gods grand design, everyone.
Back to school
I’ve applied to graduate school. I’ll be enrolling in a different field of study. I’ve enjoyed my years in teaching, but I feel a calling to explore a new career path. My goal has always been to help people, from childhood into adulthood. My interest seem to focus specifically on mental health. I submitted my application since August. I was informed the deadline was November 1, so I’m now in the waiting period. 😑 😔 Now I sit to wait, wait, and wait for my acceptance letter. I’m praying to hear back before the end of the month.
In addition, I’ll be on break from blogging, at least publishing new content. I’ve been sick a lot and need time to rest. I need to rearrange my workspace and restructure the blog. 😉 I want to challenge my writing for December, which I’ll post in my next monthly goal.
