Advent-ure: Rediscover Christmas Day 21

What an interesting day. Arrived to yoga class, on time, and well after about 20 minutes class was cancelled. The students decided to do yoga class. It was good to stretch. My yoga instructor woke up late, arrived distraught, on the verge of tears, and knew she would be fired. I’d hugged her and reassured her it wouldn’t come to that. She was afraid to lose the job. I didn’t want that to happen. I emailed the owner (another great yoga teacher) and asked if she could reconsider keeping my favorite yoga instructor. Wouldn’t you know, God answered the prayer. 🙌🏼

She was given another chance and teaching class tomorrow morning. She’s the best teacher and the reason why I enjoy yoga. But this time, I’ll call to make sure she’s on time 😁.

Scripture:

Reflection:

God gave us a gift wrapped in cloth and lie in a manger. Jesus came to earth in humble surroundings. His birth is full of Joy the world cannot even compare to give. He decided to sacrifice His life to give us spiritual new beginnings. This gift could not be wrapped in a pretty box with a bow. The war was won by a baby boy. Jesus (Son of God) came to us in human flesh. The world cried out desperately for a Savior. God replied with the Savior. He would free humanity from spiritual bondage and deliver us to God. The believers and nonbelievers.

Jesus is still moving throughout our lives. He is present in everyone. Jesus sits on the great throne of grace. He listens to our prayers and assist in our time of need. He sympathizes with our weaknesses because He understands temptation in every way, yet without sin. Jesus is concern and available. Approach the throne of grace with confidence. Jesus wants to help all. Jesus intercedes between us and God. We have direct access to the Father through Jesus. He’s ready to help us.

Activity:

Jesus birth was extraordinary. He lived a humble life, without sin. He doesn’t boast or carry pride, but express compassion and concern for us.

What do you want to share with Jesus, that you haven’t shared with others? Open your heart and speak your truth to Jesus.

Extended Reading: Luke 2

Prayer:

Jesus, thank you for listening. Thank you for rescuing me. Thank you for sitting on the throne, yet still have compassion and concern for us. Thank you for coming into this world and being one of us. Thank you for walking this earth sinless but feeling the temptations we face. This lets me know whatever I go through, You have already dealt with it. This means You know my anguish and distress. You come when I need help. What a beautiful gift to receive and to be surrounded by Your love. I am overjoyed with contentment because You are never far away. You are always available and close by.

In Jesus Name, Amen!
